I applied for relief in August 09 after a series of misfortunes and homelessness. The Speak Live foundation run by Samantha Abrams set me up with employment and temporary shelter til I was able to get back on my feet. This foundation save my life and was able to help me to get back on track with my career. I've learned so much through Samantha and her foundation. Your donations helped save my life and many others who pass through.

Speak is easily my favorite, non-mobile stage in LA! From the very first time I stepped through the door, I knew the place was special. And that is 100% because of who Samantha is. She's special. So glad I know her and Speak.

Not only is Speak one of the best places to perform because of the high quality comedians that come through. You are allowed to express your truth freely. Also The Owner Sam has a big heart. She allowed me to stay there when i was in need. She truly cares for the art and the artists. I love Speak and everything it stands for.

Speak live has been instrumental to me allowing me the opportunity to do 20 and 30 min sets and have real live working comics to help critique and share advice on structure and tags , the relationships I have made through peak have led to paying gigs and many other opportunities that would not have been available to me had it not been for Speak Live Comedy ?
